Trying To Get Pregnant
What Were Your Earliest Pregnancy Symptoms The Second Time Around?
With my first pregnancy, which we weren’t trying, I had extremely sore breasts and a missed period.
We have been ttc and I am not due for my period until next week, however I’ve been awfully bloated and my body just aches since we finished trying. I feel like I am, instictually and physically. But those are my only two symptoms. I’m still breastfeeding our 18 month old daughter as well but I’ve had a normal period since she was 3 months old.
How soon do you think I could test? Any suggestions and prior experiences really appreciated!

I thought i was coming down with something on top of severe PMS. This happened with both my pregnancies. I didn’t get a pregnancy test until a week after my missed period. You should wait at least 1 day after your missed period. Good luck!

Dont test until you missed your period. I was 2 days late before I tested. This is my second pregnancy and I really didnt have any symptoms. I had bad cramping at 7dpo but that only lasted a few minutes and I thought nothing of it…..then I was really tired about 2 days before my period was due but again…thats nothing INSANE. We were trying for 10 months before I got pregnant this time and there were a lot of months were I had all the “pregnancy symptoms” however the month we actually conceived I really didnt have any!

I swear I knew I was pregnant the moment it happened with my second. And my second came only two months after my first. I took a test a few days after my missed period and of course it was positive. If you are pretty regular than by the time you’ve missed your period your test should be accurate. I bought one test like three days before my missed period and it was negative then i bought a three pack and took a test three days after my missed period, and it was positive. Then i went into denial and took the other two, lol….of course positive. so yah, i would wait until a couple days after my missed period it i were you, and good luck.

For me, completely different symptoms than the first. With the first one, I had no symptoms until about 8 weeks, when I started eating everything in sight and longing for naps. I just ‘knew’ I was pregnant before I missed my period.
The second time…well, I just started down that path, but it was the nausea and general bowel trouble that tipped me off – I didn’t have any during the first pregnancy, but it came on like a freight train this time.
I was breastfeeding my first until just a couple of weeks ago, before I knew I was pregnant. I don’t know if breastfeeding has anything to do with a different set of symptoms (different hormone levels, etc.).
But what I really think: every pregnancy is a new ballgame.

Nausea and fatigue came with all of my pregnancies before I missed a period. Almost always you need to wait until the day you would normally expect your menses otherwise, you may get a false negative.
