TweetShareI know I can’t get a tattoo while I’m pregnant, but can I give someone a tattoo while I’m pregnant? This might sound like a stupid question, but I just want to make sure, lol!

TweetShareI want to get a tattoo on my lower backside and I am 3 1/2 months pregnant. Is it safe?

I guess it would depend upon the kind of tattoo you would like. If its permanent or the other kind of tattoo that will easily be fade. However, your skin will be stretched and there might be a possibility of losing the image.

im pretty sure your tat will just shrink back with your tummy and back to normal, because it takes, like, years for the tattoo to start fading

not always, but more often than not its distorted and streched. i have avoided getting tatoos on my tummy for that very reason!

i think it stays stretched. i would just get it somewhere where you wouldn’t have to worry about it stretching or get it after you have kids.

not necessarily . i have a small tattoo on my stomach (of lips like someones kissed my stomach) and after putting on 22 kilos while i was pregnant and then losing it didn’t stretch much or fade but mine was closer to my hip bone

Nobody can tell you if your skins elasticity will remain after the birth of your child. If you are lucky, it will. If you aren’t, it will be wrinkly and showcase veiny stretch marks. I hope that doesn’t happen to you. My sister had a similar problem with a stomach tattoo, only she wasn’t pregnant. She gained a lot of weight, then later lost it, but now her stomach is flabby and has stretch marks even though she is a normal weight. If you want to be sure to hold off stretch marks, the only thing you can do is eat right and try not to gain more than 25 or 30 pounds and apply cocoa butter on your belly as often as you can remember. And, lose your weight slowly afterwards with exercise. Stretchmarks are not only from lots of weight, they are from losing weight too quickly’

it all depends, some people don’t get stretch marks with pregnancy and some do, so unless you’ve had a kid already and know how bad your tummy will look there is no knowing for sure. you can always have it touched up after wards though.
